¿Qué es DIODE


Un diodo es un tipo de componente electrónico que permite que la corriente fluya en una sola dirección. Está hecho de un material semiconductor con dos electrodos, llamados ánodo y cátodo, unidos a extremos opuestos del material.

Cuando se aplica un voltaje positivo al ánodo y un voltaje negativo al cátodo, la corriente fluye a través del diodo. Si se invierte el voltaje, el diodo bloquea el flujo de corriente.

Los diodos se usan comúnmente en fuentes de alimentación, aplicaciones de radiofrecuencia (RF) y en la rectificación de corriente alterna (CA) a corriente continua (CC).
